LN-CC Late Night Chameleon Cafe | London

LN-CC is one of our favorite new destinations in the Dalston area of London. Genius design here by Gary Card.

VIA Vogue UK:

A BOUTIQUE of style significance - Dover Street Market, Colette, Opening Ceremony - doesn't open often, and when it does fashion's coolest take note. Vogue art director Jaime Perlman has discovered new London shop Late Night Chameleon Cafe, or LN-CC, and asserts attention must be paid.

"I love the way the minute you walk in the store you are engulfed in the LN-CC universe," Perlman told us. "The interiors, the merchandise, the sounds, are all curated in a way to clearly articulate a unique visual architecture for the LN-CC shopper, that feels quite personal in a way. I also like how each room has mixed price-points, the way a real shopper would most likely wear the merchandise."

LN-CC boasts a trading space with an art installation feel, conceived by notoriously brilliant set designer Gary Card; a selection of fashion, books and music hand-picked by owners John Skelton (formerly of Oki-Ni and Harrods) and Daniel Mitchell; and access to impossible-to-find cult labels from Wacko Maria and Nonnative alongside a hand-picked selection from labels including Balenciaga, Dries Van Noten and Rick Owens.

"I think it was very modern for them to have a book and record shop and a club, having the whole 'lifestyle' element in the boutique," Perlman added. "I particularly love the wooden tunnel-like hallway that Gary constructed. It's unlike anything else I've seen."
